Peer Review Acceptance

Summers, McNea & Company, P.C. received its unqualified opinion on a review of the firm's quality controls. This opinion is the highest ranking available in the peer review process.

The accounting profession has established a system, through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, whereby CPA firms may voluntarily join the AICPA Division of CPA Firms. Member firms must successfully complete a "Quality Control Peer Review" (audit) every three years. The peer review is directed toward determining if the firm is complying with quality control standards established by the Division and is conducted by another CPA firm. Summers, McNea has been a member of the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) since 1987.

Managing Partner, Mel McNea, stated that "it is our pleasure to report that on January 29, 2009 the Montana Peer Review Executive Committee accepted the report on the most recent peer review of this firm reflecting the highest standards possible within the accounting profession. Peer reviews confirm for us, our clients and those in a position to refer business to us, that Summers, McNea is providing accounting and auditing services of the very highest quality."
